Поэт Дмитрий Борисович Кедрин (1907-1945)

Около 15 лет судьба поэта связывала его с подмосковной землей. Он жил неподалеку от города Мытищи, работал в газете «Кузница» Мытищинского вагонного завода, много писал, переводил, занимался с начинающими литераторами.

В 1938 году Д. Кедрин создал шедевр русской поэзии XX в. – поэму «Зодчие» о строителях храма Василия Блаженного.

Стихотворная драма «Рембрандт» (1940) – одно из лучших произведений поэта.

В 1940 году увидел свет первый и единственный прижизненный поэтический сборник Дмитрия Кедрина «Свидетели».

Широкий интерес читателей к творческому наследию Кедрина определил его особое место в русской поэзии. Имя поэта носит Центральная библиотека городского поселения, в Мытищинском музее ему посвящена мемориальная экспозиция. В 1995 году Союзом Писателей России и местной администрацией учреждена ежегодная литературно-художественная премия имени Д. Кедрина «Зодчий».

Лауреатами престижной премии становились известные поэты и писатели России, общественные деятели и меценаты.

Kedrin Dmitriy Borisovich (1907–1945)

For about 15 years the poet’s destiny was linked to the Moscow land. He lived not far from Mytischi and worked in the newspaper “Kuznitsa”, which belongs to the Mytischi Car-building factory. He wrote extensively, translated, and worked with beginning writers.

In 1938, D. Kedrin created the masterpiece of the Russian poetry of the XX century, a poem called “The Architects”, about the builders of the St. Basil’s Cathedral.

The poetical drama “Rembrandt” (1940) is among the best works of the poet.

In 1940 the author’s first and the only poetical collection “The Witnesses” was published. The readers’ interest in the artistic legacy of Kedrin has made it very peculiar in Russian poetry. The central municipal library is named after the poet. The city museum has a commemorative exposition. In 1995 the annual literary-artistic prize “Zodchiy” (Architect) n.a. Kedrin was established by the Union of Writers of Russia and the local administration.
